Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. She is best known for her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the end of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and with English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meals.
